A series of the Animal Kingdom at night, requested by ~irishelysia, ~winterwidow/~decemberdreams and ~OriginalOddball.

Africa - the fruit cart and the entrance to the Safari.

Lots of noise grain, sorry. ^^; I had the ISO set too high initially.

The Rules:

This stock photo is free for all to use. I ask only two things: :D

1. That I be given proper credit as the provider of stock with a link back to either my front page or to the original photo and

2. That you send me the link to the stock use, because I love to see my stock in use. :boogie:

And just as an FYI, although my stock is unrestricted, you may encounter issues if using a Disney character in something you'd like to make into a print here on dA. :)

(full stock rules can be found in my journal ;))

Love this fiercely! AK night shots are difficult... how'd you manage access after dark?

In the winter, especially during the holidays, the extra magic hours will go up to 11pm, so you can wander around for a while after dark. Some of the sections are pretty deserted, too, so you can take your time to set up pictures.

I did not know the EMH applied to Animal Kingdom! We've stayed at the Lodge a few times and I guess we missed it...

And here I thought they didn't even bother lighting the park thematically for night traffic. :P

In the winter during the holidays the AK is open until 9-ish, so it's all lit up then as well.

I was just about to ask you how you got this picture with no one in it! lol

I LOVE all of your stock. I'm twenty years old, my brother 24, but our parents have been taking us here once a year since we were little. We haven't been in a few years though, and I'm dying to go! But I adore your stock because you take the pictures so clearly and so well that I feel like I'm back there. And it's just cool to see all the picture of the wilderness lodge, and dixie landings (Though I believe they changed the name to port orleans maybe? Unless they changed it again. It's the one with the mill by the lobby I think) and the world show case at Epcot and it's just amazing! Me and my family sat here and looked through your stock the other night

Maybe I talked them into a vacation sometime soon? lol

Sorry so long.
Wonderful stock though

Aw, you make me blush. Thank you so much! :glomp:

Dixie Landings is now called Port Orleans Riverside, or just Riverside for most people. We love to stay there. I hope you did talk your family into a vacation. :D

Getting pictures with no people in them isn't all that hard; it just takes a bit of patience, or getting to the parks really early or staying really late. If you go back to World Showcase as soon as it opens, for example, you'll have at least an hour or two to get people-free pictures, because everyone is still up in Future World waiting for Soarin' or Test Track. A lot of attractions dump all at once, so if you wait in between shows, eventually it will clear up for a few minutes. And you're free to walk around after the rides close for a while. Everyone will be trying to leave anyway, so I avoid the crush. Plus with a long exposure, people can often just walk right through the frame and not show up at all (or leave just faint outlines of feet, which is hilarious to see).

Thanks again! Your comment really made my day. :huggle:

I've never noticed that before, then again, I hardly pay attention im too busy trying to be a little kid haha

And I knew it was called Port Orleans, but me and my family are so used to calling is Dixie landings cause thats what it used to be, so we all get stubborn and call it Dixie landings lol

And I DID talk to them about it. They're going to see what they can do! I'm excited haha

Thank you for taking the time to comment back!

Woohoo! :woohoo: I hope you do get to go. I've been living vicariously through other deviants for a bit now, since we likely won't be going until next December (2010) :cries:. Stupid economy.

I think it helps that the section was totally empty. :XD: World Showcase during extra magic hours is the same way - a lot of things are closed and almost no one wanders back there. It's awesome. :D
